The Drawing Room Art Gallery stands in the centre of a city recognized as a nurturing
ground for artistic talent. It brings together a selection of the most compelling new artists
alongside contemporary masters to shed light on the unique vitality and breadth of modern
art produced from Pakistan.
It was founded in January 2009 and was the brainchild of renowned
collector Salmaan Taseer. From the outset the Gallery was committed to showing the work of
innovative young artists who are capable of pushing boundaries and whose aesthetic is
the forecast of art. Matching the heroic output and ambition of these artists our aim is to
promote their work and enable it to be seen by international collectors and curators
and to establish a world-wide reputation.
